Photo Description:
Planned to hunt a total of 16 days and finally on the 10th day I shot this bull. Everyday had elk bugling all over but could never see them. Alot within 100 yrds but couldn't see them. Finally on the 7th day I had a small 6 pt at 40 yards  BUT had no shot. On the 9th day and being very frustrated finally got this guy in close. Sitting over a wallow, I listened to this guy for 3 hours come closer and closer hoping him or his cows needed a drink. After the last bugle, all was quiet until "glunking" and elk crashing towards me at 150 yrds. Every so often between swallows he would look at his herim and bugle ONLY 12 yards away for almost 10 munites. Finally he did just what I hoped, cleared the trees, stopped to bugle one more time at 14 yrds and the arrow disappeared.

talk about exciting! Nice Bull.
I have heard bad things about Idaho lately because of the wolves. Obviously you had great luck. Was this Northern Idaho?
Have you hunted there before and if so did the population seem down?

That was my first trip to Idaho. Went with some friends that have been hunting the area for a quite a few years. That area doesn't have much for wolves YET.
