Sportsmen Against Hunger

Bismarck ND - Every year it is the same, and with deer season in progress and the optional herd reduction doe only tags, many hunters still have an ample supply of venison from last fall; however, this year there is a worthy solution. Donate a deer to the Sportsmen Against Hunger Campaign!
Yes, that's right! Hunters can feed needy individuals and families by helping SAH (Sportsmen Against Hunger) process and supply venison for local food pantries and charities. Meat protein is a constant need and eagerly a waited.
West Dakota Meats, on Memorial Highway in Bismarck, North Dakota, will process 100 or more deer into frozen packages to be distributed directly to local charities and food kitchens. The processing fee of $56.00 will be born by the Sportsmen Against Hunger for 100 deer. However, the demand for meat for needy persons and soup kitchens is greater than this goal and can be supplemented by additional paid donations. Any hunter having the heart-and-mind to pay the processing of their donated deer will receive a tax-deductible receipt.
This charitable sportsmen program begins with bow season. Gun season hunters would be wise to call ahead to confirm whether the Sportsmen Against Hunger's donation has been met. West Dakota Meats' phone number is 221-9142. Hunters must not drop deer off after hours.
Sportsmen Against Hunger is a humanitarian services program of the Safari Club International Foundation and organized in this area by SCI Northern Plains Chapter, ND Mule Deer Foundation, Mid-Dakota Clinic Sportsmen's Caucus, ND Game & Fish Department and concerned sportsmen and women.
