What do you think would be the best camo for hunting in the badlands? I'm thinking ASAT or Predator Brown Deception.. I'm just curious on your opinions, or what has/hasnt worked for you. And i know you need to check scent, and work the shadows and the terrain.

will not have to worry about camo I don't know if the G&F have enough brainss to close the season for a couple years.
The only season they need is for the mountain lions maybe a 100 in zone 1 and unlimited in zone 2 have the season from April 1 2012 til march 31 2013

The best democrat platform a Republican can stand on it a manure pile

drug test everyone on welfare

have an open season on molesters

If they do go thru with no doe tags (which i highly agree with, we saw far fewer deer then normal this year) but what would they do about archery hunting? Buck only? Would they/ Should they create zones for archery hunting too?

A lot will work. Breaking your silhouette is number one. That deception is intriguing. I went with plain ole outfitter camo. I can use it effectively for more than just the badlands.

Just avoid any pattern that blobs you out.

Ive always been a fan of realtree AP for some reason, seems to work in just about any type of terrain.

I've used NatGear for quite a few years.  My thought is to stay away from the darker patterns for desert type terrain.

I agree about the darker patterns not working as well, but looking at NatGear online it looks like it could blob up. Just my preception though. If i could get anything it would probably be KUIU gear,  but thats wayyyy out of my price range.

Max 1 or Mossy Oak Brush look pretty good outwest. Max 1 early and the Brush later possibly if you really want to get technical.

I also REALLY like the Open Country Optifade that Sitka has. Great pattern, and it will blend you in all year. Great clothing as well, geared well for the active style of western hunting.

If the hunting is that bad, maybe doors to the Game & Fish "and" state Legislature need to be knocked on and closed for a Season. I think all parts of the State have took somewhat of a hit.The "good ole days" maybe in the rearview mirror, with the exit of CRP.

I'm not understanding what your trying to get it. I'm just saying if the gun season does proceed with no anterless tags. Would they keep bowhunting the same as it is now? Or should they set up units (like in the gun season) to help regulate the amount of deer possibly taken in  that specific area. Don't get me wrong, I dont like the sounds of that, I like my OTC tag but, if it would help the deer herd, maybe a couple of years wouldnt be so bad afterall. who knows, just a thought thats crossed my mind. Since archery hunting doesnt really regulate where you hunt and how many you take out of there.( No Units)  But there probably isnt enough archery hunting to negatively affect the deer herd so bad in one specific area.

Make archery tags "any" whitetail or "antlered" mule deer only.

Eliminate the 1000 or so NR "any" archery tags.

Doesnt matter...watch the wind, choose something with neutral tones or take your ten year old realtree thats been washed 100 times and go to work. You'd be far ahead learning how to shoot your chosen weapon from all angles and ungodly positions possible. Try this. Lay face down in the sage for two hours. Then rise to your knees and take a 65 yard shot, If you can connect, camo doesnt matter.
