Camping suggestions?

Looking for new places to camp within about 100 miles of Bismarck as we are looking for something different then Sakakawea State Park and thought I would see what kind of suggestions folks here might have.

We have a 5th wheel camper and don't mind going primitive once in a while but not when temps are going to be in the mid-90's.

Any ideas anyone is willing to share?

Beulah Bay, Down Stream, Totten Trail, Wolf Creek, Hazen Bay, Sportsman Centenial, Fort Stevenson State Park, and maybe Douglas Bay (this might be a little far).

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

IT IS BETTER TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS THAN ASK FOR PERMISSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tschida is a recreation lake as far as im concerned.  The fish that are in there are just a bonus.

Do you like the badlands?  I know Medora is over a hundred miles, but there's some really nice campgrounds out there like Sully Creek, Buffalo Gap or Cottonwood in the park.

Stay away from Van Hook right now.  It is insane full of people.  I don't know if they can fit another person in that place.
Maybe Nelson Lake.  Great little lake and fishing is always good.

Indian Hills, Van Hook, Deepwater, Parshall, White Earth, Pouch Point, Reunion and so one are all further than 100 miles from Bismarck. If your on the north side of Sakakawea and your much further west than Douglas Bay, your more than a 100 miles from Bismarck.

I agree, however i seem to pull out a few keepers each day and the kids can swim at the beach all day.

An interesting solo trip might be the prison yard in Williston.  You'd probably need a good egress plan and be willing to leave behind some/all gear when you're spent.

Indian creek @ Mobridge.  There are pads you can throw in lines  and sit in your camper and watch you lines.  Walleye have been biting good there all summer.
