color point flasher

 im thinking of getting a flasher for the ice season. is a color point flasher any good. i know vexilar are top of the line but i just need something to get started with.  does anyone have one that could give me some help whether to buy it.

Check out bismanonline for used FL-8's. 150 bucks seems to be the going rate for a used one.

I prefer Humminbirds.  Nowdays they all are pretty simmiliar as to what you get.  The Humminbird 55 is what I have and it works unbeliavable around here.  You could go with the 35 or 45 and they would be great as well and save some money.
Largest Bass to date.  9lbs 6 ozs... 26 in length 18 in girth caught from Choke Caynon resivor in TX.
