Never will be what?  The dude owns damn near every record in the NFL for a QB and you think he's a never has been.  You need to get over your hatred for the guy.  I'm amazed he hasn't been voted into the hall of fame while still actively playing.  That's about the only record left for him.

That has to be the most outlandish statement in FBO history.....and that is saying a lot.

If he's injured and needs surgery, he needs surgery, he is one of the toughest players to ever play the game.  Even those who hate him will agree to that.  If I was him I'd set my arse down south on my ranch and hunt and fish the rest of my life.  However I hope and pray he isn't thinking like me.

Who knows with him though.....

• No Vikings 1st round pick = More money to throw to him for a new contract: Check
• Injury that requires surgery to get his name in the press: Check
• Injury that requires surgery to get him a perfect excuse not to be at training camp: Check
• The closer we get to August the more he's being played in the media will he or won't he stories: Check

This is the perfect scenario for him. They'll give him another two year contract with some more garuanteed money and all will be good.

Also gives him an excuse when the magic from last year doesn't come.

After that cheap shot in the play off game I was surprised he came back in,and in the heat of the moment AP single handedly lost the game.

I was surprised he played last year let alone come back this season~ 2009 was a great season to end his career,he gave 110%.

My bet is he has the surgery.  As far as the "magic" goes, well, I hope we get to find out one way or the other.

19 years in the league your bound to be beat up.  It's not excuses at all.  I hope he does come back and play one more year.  Every year he plays is a bonus for everyone.  He's one of the best of all time.  Vikes never would have sniffed the NFC champ. game without him.
