When I was out in Montana last week mule deer hunting I came across a herd of elk. Luckily I had an elk tag in my pocket. Where I was hunting I could only shoot a cow. These animals have a lot of meat! I hunted for about a week and saw a lot of nice bucks but never saw one in the mid 170s range so never pulled the trigger.
