Remember the game and fish is asking for you to turn your tags in for a refund for a reason..there aren't many deer left in the sw part of the state.
Why wipe them out this rifle season, do the right thing and turn in that tag.

Please

Keep the tag its only $20 and don't go hunting. With the low numbers that is the last thing you want to do is shoot a doe. If it were a buck tag i would go hunting because frankly all you need is one buck but you need to have the does out there to help the population rebound, thats just me opinion i guess.

Can I turn it in after the season?

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

That was my thought.  Could I retain my preference points?  Curious, because of work, i wont have much time to hunt this year.

I wish you could apply and check a box so you just get the points and not a tag.  Especially for the big three,  I would like a moose, sheep, or Elk tag but being able to spend the time and money to do it right would be nice.

What is your basis for the recommendation of taking a $20 loss?

i just checked the GnF website, they are only taking back whitetail tags according to http://www.gf.nd.gov/multimedia/news/2011/10/111009.html so i don't believe you will have any luck returning ur muley buck tag :-s..... but yes for those who do want to return a whitetail tag in the areas mentioned in that GnF link you will retain your preferance points. Good Luck to everyone who is gonna be hunting tomorrow!

Never argue with an idiot.... they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Good for only whitetails ain't it?  Or is it any tag?  She is bleak out there but I imagine there is a couple good ones to be shot yet.  If I had tag I wouldn't mind holding off a year.
