sticknbig1s Joined: 12/14/2009 Location: ND	I have recently won a Browning X-Bolt 300 win. mag. Just wondering what you guys think of this model? It seems to be made of mostly plastic in the action. And plus I'm afraid this gun may kick like a mule because its so light. I already own a 300 and its not nearly as light as this browning. Also trying to decide on a scope for it but thinking around 500 bones. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hawkeyed Joined: 01/10/2011 Location: ND	Never actually shot one so I cant say anything about the kick, but Brownings are quality guns. I think you would be happy with this rifle. Browning has been around a long time, with a rep for putting out good products

summer_eyes Joined: 05/18/2007 Location: ND	I have five Browning rifles, two A bolts, and three X Bolts, love them all, one thing I have found is Brownings seem to kick less than most other guns in the larger calibers. Example I have a 300 ultra mag in a Browning A-Bolt and I can shoot it all day long comfortablly, ( if i could afford to ), one of my friends has a Remington and I shot it one time and he asked if I wanted to shoot it again and I said no cause it kicked like a mule. As far as the Browning rifles themselves, they are a very quality gun and I would put them up against any other gun for that matter.
