Photo Description:
My wife Judy was again my good luck charm as she accompanied me to Montana on the last day of the season. I shot this 5 x 5 buck 10 minutes before sundown. I blew a stalk on a much better buck earlier in the day. After an exhausting, long day of hiking, this buck came out of a draw with a doe. I missed him the first time, OK the second time too, then he stop and I drilled him. He ran to the top of the hill and died. We drove the 4-wheeler right up to him. This is the end of a fantastic year of big hunting with my family. Thank you Judy for supporting me!Wayne

Re:Looks good Wayne. Was a tough hunt out there this year. Glad to see you were able to put a nice one on the ground. I too took my hunt to the last day!!
"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground." |

Re:solocam Said:Congrats to your success as well. Looks like you took a nice MT buck. I saw a lot of deer, but not alot of quality bucks. I missed a 170" class buck on the second weekend, still makes me sick. Wayne

Re:nice buck
If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.
