I was on my way back from Minot this afternoon at about 3:30 heading east on hwy 2 as i was coming into Lakota there was a a "BIG" kitty about 60 yards to the south. First lion i have ever seen, if i wasn't hauling back a semi i would have at least tried to turn around and snap a couple pics on my phone. I tried getting ahold of everyone I could think of that lives in that area but everyone was working or busy. I would love the chance to get one of these cats very cool sight!

A guy at work today told me he saw one by the water park in mandan. Damn I wish I could  run accross one sometime perferablly when I had a gun so I coluld blast me one. But I would be satisfied just seeing one.

I would bet it is the same kitty that was seen this summer next to that group of one-room schoolhouses 9 miles south on Hwy 1.

This might sound dumb but, it is said that mountain lion is some of the best eating game out there. My dad went to NM for a elk hunt and one of the nights they had a variety of game and he said bobkat was ok and lion was awsome

My friend shot one in Idaho last year, and it was pretty tastey.  It was just like a good pork chop.  We were having a few cold ones at the time and the pouch lines just never ended.

A kid told me the other day that most of the lions in ND come from MN because they are being released there.  Sure is amazing how rumors spread.  I think there have only been a handful of lion sightings ever in MN.
