Dad gut shot a doe last night and it went about 100 yards and was dead in the corn.  its amazing how vital those broadheads are.  we havent bought new ones for a few years now cause G5 has a montec broadhead sharpener and that might be the greatest investment we have made.

I agree the they are a good broadhead, I was using expandables and I went elk hunting with a bow in Montana this year and bought some G5 montec cs fixed blades, the elk I shot went ten yards and tipped over dead, complete pass through double lunger, lots of blood on the ground.  Needless to say I was impressed and will now be switching to  fixed blades period.

I like them alot for a fixed head.  They are noisy in flight compared to alot of other broadheads but hasn't mattered yet.

Are you serious? Noisy in flight. Maybe too much 80's rock, but I've been using them since they came out and I haven't heard a thing. Killed a 5x5 whitetail last night with one, he didn't know what hit him, just walked a ways and laid down. At least 7 other deer in the area, they just looked at him because he wasn't acting right. I'm guessing if you are hearing any noise it's because your bow may need tuning.

I try everything that comes on the market, and will not shoot mechanicals because I do tune my bow until it is perfect, and I believe that a fixed blade is still the toughest thing out there. I have shot the Rage but I shoot 85 grains and the 100 Rage just dropped too much after 30 yards. Anyways I probably tried 3 different fixed blades this year, same last year and the year before. For me nothing groups quite as good as the Montec, and it is cut on contact, no chisel point, which I think does help with penetration. Two deer so far this year, doe and buck, both double lunged, buck went maybe 60 doe 50. Impressive, yes, but hit them there with any good broadhead and you get the same result.

Hunt to ride,  get away from the bow (have someone shoot your bow)  and you will here that they are much louder than other broadheads,  probaly doesnt matter but it is noticeable.

Maybe. I think I killed 3 or 4 animals last year, a bull elk, whitetail buck and whitetail doe so far this year, two years ago a buck and 2 does. I don't recall any of those animals reacting to any noise before the arrow arrived.

Not hearing anything, nor on my buddies bow. I shoot the 85 grain, he shoots 100, along with others I know, nobodys complained about noise. If you're ever down in Mobridge stop by I can tune your bow for you.
