Photo Description:
I shot my first ever bear in MN over the weekend. Mandy video taped the hunt and got some good footage. The bear made it about 10 yards after the shot. Not the biggest bear in the woods but my first and I am pleased!

lottery. I got turned down for the drawing but this was the first year where a person had to buy their tags by aug 1 if they had drawn. After that, any tags not bought were put on first come first serve for anyone turned down in the drawing. But yeah, it was a drawing.

Great job. Nice trophy. 10 yards is fairly impressive, guessing you clipped the top of his heart? What broadhead?

I have used the G5 since they came out. Still test other heads but the G5 just groups a little better than anything I've ever shot, including Muzzy's which I used for years.

Congrats on the bear, are you now hooked on bear hunting?

People keep asking me why I keep hunting bear after shooting a few, keep telling them there is just something about it that draws you back each year!
