Wayne, how about profiles and a stories to go with both the bucks you have recently  uploaded? Both are very impressive. I've heard different stories on the Center Buck....

BoHunter,
There is only one Center Buck or Hensler Buck. The other picture is from a Canandian buck that I will see if I can get info on.

There is a full story on Alan's buck in Rack magazine I believe.
I hunted with him this fall up there.  The buck had been seen that week and I believe shot at and missed, anyways the guy ended up staying extra days trying to get him but didn't. Alan had one day left in his hunt and Blair asked him if he'd like to sit on that cut line where the giant was saw earlier that week, he jumped at the chance.

As he sat in the blind that day a guy in a quad drove up beside him, parked and put his feet up on the handle bars and sat there. I suppose just being a pain in the you know.
Well he finally left and then a bit later a hunter comes walking down the same line chain smoking! Gets near him and then turns and walks all the way back smoking away! At this point he wasn't to happy about the blinds location but he knew there was a giant in the area so just stayed and sat. Allot can happen when you sit from dark to dark so you never know. Later in the day he started getting stiff and so he thought he'd get out of the blind to stretch. But before he got out he grabbed his rifle "smart move".
Because as he was leaning on the blind stretching he looked down the cut line and thought he saw something under a big spruce. He shoulder his rifle and sure enough it was this giant thinking about going across the line. One shot and it was over.
Its just an incredible dream buck for sure!

As far as the center buck goes I think his story is true, I sat and talked to him about it. He had to go to the G&F and be questioned also after he hit it.
He said something to the effect that they weren't to happy that a warden gave him permission to tag the roadkill with his rifle tag over the phone. "You know for a fact if they would have came and saw how big it was they would have claimed it. Yet if it was a doe or a smaller buck he would have been given permission"
Anyways he said that that'll probably never happen again LOL!
It's an awesome deer, I believe he would make P&Y without measuring a tine! Just with main beams, mass, and spread measurements.
Crazy!
