six mile tournament

This is a very fun tourney. The dlvfd does a great job with the event and entertainment during the weekend. It is worth fishing without a vex for 2.5 hours. This will be my 13th in a row. My crew has grown to 15 family and friends now and it has became a tradition. Good luck!

Sometimes its not just about catching the fish...

The last 2 years were a blast, the weather was balmy and there were fish pulled up within 20 yards of me. A couple of interesting things that happened last year was the " who could spin the fastest on a 5 gallon pail" and of course my favorite- hooking an ice skimmer to a buddys line when he went to pee. He was laying on the ice trying to gingerly pull up what he thought was a decent fish on 4 lb. test, had a big crowd of people watching intently till the scoop came up. 3 years ago it was bitter cold and that wasn't any fun. He likes his brother-in-law on his team for a golf scramble. hahahahahahahahahaha

Last year a guy 10 yds from my group also got a joke played on him. While he was at the restroom, his buddies hooked up a Wal-Mart C cup bra to his line and put it down. The best thing was that it took awhile to sink all the way so when he got back, the bobber slowly went down, just like a fish and then he put on a pretty good fight with the bra. It was very exciting.
