Did Will achieve the "Grand"  AK?  I believe he's a bit high on himself.

I know this is old stuff;  I skip shows for a while then warm my couch until the wee hours.

What I'm getting at;  Is cutting one hole at 10yds the same as a 10in group at a grand without environmental issues?  I'm seeing both sides in my little mind.

So do you think the "redbeard" guy should've "packed his tools" when he wanted another instrument to cut the chamber?  I do.

You guys can bash the man all you want, but Im here to tell you I have met him in person, and was lucky enough to be invited to his birthday shoot.  Will and the rest of his guys are great people, and he has some quality weapons.  I have a video of me shooting one of his short barrel saigas and it ran like a champ.

Do not confuse good TV for the quality of his weapons.  I wouldnt hesitate to purchase anything built by Red Jacket Firearms. Will is a standup guy who would do anything for his friends and the miltary members.

I'm not questioning the quality.  Is the AK grand accurate or TV?

I guess I could've been more succinct.

I was more talking to KurtR who talks out his behind without anything to back it up.

Let me clarify, if you dont like the mans products, I can understand as its your preference like ford or chevy, but bash the man himself and it doesnt sit right with me.  He has built many hunting rifles with video systems for wounded military, I have met the man, talked to him, and I am proud to say i have met him.

I see both sides too ,   We only get a couple channels on tv so I don't get to watch the good stuff but holey smokes there is a lot that can go wrong at a grand even without environment issues .   In a perfect world there is still human error,  10 yards I think would be more predictable but thats just a guess.  Some day when I retire and have time to play It would be fun to make a rifle jig out of a  table saw and set it up at my shooting hill just to see how tight a  gun can  shoot at 1k when you hook it up to a computer and set crosshairs on the big screen and pull triggers with a mouse and video the vapor trail.    on a shoestring operation

I enjoy that show. Looks like they build good stuff. Ya know Jerry Michelek buys guns from will. on one show he bought a suppresed AK-47
If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.

Since you love these guys so much you can go here and help come up with the next idea for a gun build.                          http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2738032#Post2738032

Really if you think these guys build the same quality of rifles as say gap, apa, skunkworks or many more great builders you are kiding your selves.  They might be great people in person just as the crew from jersey shore might be nice people but when you portray your self in such a manner on tv what would lead people to think any different.

absolutely hilarious link!!!!!!

im not interested in bashing these guys  but i do have to say if your someone in the industry or very familiar with guns the show is a little bit of an insult to your intelligence. they do make some interesting things but the problem is that they present it as if they are the first people to ever do it or the only people who could accomplish it.  far from original.

it is possible that the producers want it that way so id give them the benefit of the doubt but the show can be a little ridiculous nonetheless

it's tv, all about ratings and very little to do with substance.    (as usual)

True..true. There's a lot of scripted stuff. Just like American Chopper or Pawn Stars.
