I was shooting the other day, taking advantage of the absence of wind!  I shot a 5 shot group at 100yds 1/4moa.  Out of curiosity I took off my suppressor and fired 3 shots.  The 3 shot non-suppressed group was also 1/4moa.  This was on shots 10-18 warm barrel.  HOWEVER,  the 3 shot group was 3 inches high and 1.5 inches left.  I am completely confused.  Any thoughts or reasons for this ?  Doesn't bother me since I always shoot with it on but I would like to know the reason for the poi shift.

3.5moa shift isn't uncommon for elevation.  Mine is SS and for 30cal. and my poi shift is 4.25moa.  However the left adjustment is.  Try a coldbore shot and see if it is still 1.5left.  What kind of scope?  Try rezeroing and see if the shift is the same.

Yeah what horsager said. Surefire (i think) had a thing on tv about there suppresors showing the poi changes and it is obviously less with titanium than steel. The surefires shot 5 with every can they had and all landed in a playing card and i think they had 8 at the time... They all had fairly limited poi change

Were all the tests with a free floated barrel or were some with an AR?  Don't think the barrel changes, just how it rides in the stock.  If the barrel would change the harmonics would also and the grouping wouldn't be consistent.  Just speculation however, only experience or knowledge is with mine and I haven't had it very long(six months and around 1500rounds).

bbl is completely free floated, suppressor on or off.  scope is Leupold  fixed 12.  Handloads with 25 grains of varget 52 grain bthp.  The gun has never shot any different cold bore or hot.  Thats why i like it.  I have used warm ammo on a ice cold gun -20 degrees.  cold ammo on a hot gun and its always right on.  The only time the zero changes is on a wild ride in the 1 ton haha.

They were with an ar. It was to " show that the poi does not change verry much with the can on. It was on best defence i think
