taxidermist recommendation

Just wondering if anyone can recommend the name of a decent taxidermist who is familiar with doing mule deer.  My son shot a nice buck and I would like to get it mounted for him but not excited about spending an arm and a leg to do it.  I know that in most cases you get what you pay for but I also know there are folks out there who do a dang good job without the premium price.

Not interested in anyone who does self-tanning.

I live in Bismarck but am willing to travel a bit if necessary.

nevada miller. right in mandan. Excellent mule deer mounts. I would rather spend a couple hundred more dollars and have a mount that him and you are perfectly satisfied with then skimp and not be impressed.

I have found that the prices are pretty consistent for deer mounts, but the quality differs dramatically.

We're lucky, there are allot of really good taxidermist in ND! Bad thing is some are so popular that you will have to wait to get him back, sometimes over two years.
Don't go just becasue someone tells you to go there. Go to as many as you can and look at their work and pic the one you like best. And don't go to one because of the low price alone, you have to look at that thing for the rest of your life. So spend the extra money if you can afford it. And some do allot better whitetails than they do muleys and vise versa so be aware of that also.

You better have time. I have not gotten my mount back from Nevada from 2008. He does great work but will not do another mount for me.

Wonderful Reagan quote that says it like it is! "It isn't that Liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so much that isn't so."

Nevada has done several mule deer for me and is by far the best in the area. He did my son's non-typical and is a fabulous looking mount. I have taxidermy work myself for many years and have done extensive research on what a mount is supposed to look like. You will not be disappointed if you take it to Nevada's Wildlife Designs.
