i cant believe that rifle season is only a few days away it seems like the archery season only started a couple weeks.

what is every ones plan for this years rifle season?

walking, stalking, or sitting?

Same here. Family hunt in 4C. We walk. Finally got a buck tag this year. first year since my youth tag in 2006. I've waited awhile for this and I'm excited

Won't be doing a ton of walking. When I do it will be slow and steady. Most of the time will be spent with the optics perched on a hill in the morning and evening hours.

I will be singing, dancing, and laughing. Then I will shoot a doe in the face. I'm kidding sorry for Thursday morning riggamarole.

We will be beating the bush with 9 buck tags and 14 doe tags to fill. T'will be interesting. Waiting until the last week to head to the badlands.... whammy.

I will be off for the week starting opening day. I've been after some biguns w/ the bow. If I can''t stick one this weekend, I WILL get one w/the rifle.

my mule buck tag plans got a wrinkle...the band now has a recording studio session scheduled for....the first frickin weekend of deer season!!@#$%! ARGGHHH!
So I will be doing spot/stalk at dawn & dusk, slow bow-hunting style walkin the afternoons on the 2nd weekend. Good thing my buddies have doe tags...they'll wait until the 2nd weekend to go with...good luck y'all! And Tim, I will be on east river...hope you are west river so we're not fighting over vantage points.

I will be on west river. Dad and his girfriend are the shooters, I get to just simply play camera and spotter man. I actually almost prefer that. Not near the pressure. Ha!

So I will set up shop along the river and wait for the big boy you spook across then. Wink, wink.
